DOPE

Where can I get help for gambling problems?

Free, confidential help exists everywhere. Use it early.

If gambling has stopped being a choice, talk to someone who does this for a living. It is free, it is confidential, and it works better the earlier you go.

Where to look

  • GamCare and BeGambleAware — advice, self-help tools and a free helpline.
  • Gamblers Anonymous — meetings, in person and online, in most countries.
  • Gambling Therapy — free online support in several languages.
  • Your national health service or a local addiction service.

Ask us for a self-exclusion at the same time, so the door is shut while you get support: see can I set limits or take a break.

Tell somebody

Money problems get worse in private. Telling one person you trust is the step that changes the rest.
